Illustration Friday - paper

Illustration Friday - summer

Finally it is summer!

Illustration Friday - mask

I'm happy.

PizzaPizza

Just some "Fun with A Pencil" to get used to Manga Studio. Restaurateur (?) of a good old italian pizzeria ristorante :)
I think I might like Manga Studio even better for doing these than SAI. Probably going to do some more of these little guys in the next couple of days...

Scifi Prince

More face practice, Manga Studio 5, quick colour in PS.

Illustration Friday - prehistoric

Quick portrait of a prehistoric beauty from imagination. Need to do more work like this, my imagination needs a workout.

Silhouettes

Long time no update. So, have a couple of girl silhouettes. I've been practising Paint Tool SAI lately, no more Illustrator for now (phew!).

Illustration Friday - train

Just a simple kids illustration style thing for Illustration Friday this time.

Illustration Friday - wild

Still learning. Creating this was more of a fight than it should have been...

Illustration Friday - urban

Finally I managed to create an illustration for a current Illustration Friday topic again - yay!

Glowing Plants

Still practising vector drawing... this is today's result:

Illustration Friday - refresh UPDATE

I am currently trying to learn how to draw vector images, so I'm redrawing some of my old Illustration Friday entries. This is the first one that actually ended up looking better than the original raster image I made, much closer to what I had intended to do back then:

Broadchurch

Did a Broadchurch fanart just for fun (and for a bit of lineart practice). I don't draw for fun often enough.

Also this was one of the rare cases where I had a finished picture in mind and just reproduced it, and it ended up pretty much the same as I envisioned it in that sleepless night yesterday (stupid idea kept me awake).

My boyfriend said that the beard stubble doesn't fit the style, but right now I don't care - we'll see about tomorrow ;)

A Calendar of Tales - February

"Only when my great-niece was gone and I was alone, did I swim upward, letting
the pendant pull me home, up into the vastness above us, where we wander with
the lonely sky-whales and the skies and seas are one."
(Neil Gaiman, A Calendar of Tales)

Inspired by Neil Gaiman's lovely February story for the Blackberry "Keep Moving" project, but I don't think I'm going to submit it, I don't like the terms and conditions. And before anyone starts attacking me and calling me materialistic, I obviously don't care about that, or I wouldn't have put the work in anyway, would I? If I were signing over the right to use it *just* in this Calendar and the related Blackberry promotion, I'd do it in an instant for the chance to have my illustration put next to Neil Gaiman's beautiful, inspiring story. But sign over the rights indefinitely so that they can not only publish it for profit in any way they like without me getting even a tiny share, but also redistribute the rights to a third party without me having a say? Nope. I'd like to decide who gets to use my art, thank you very much.

Oh, and before I forget: Whether you are an artist or not, whether you want to participate or not, go and read the stories - This stuff is the highest dose of pure inspiration that you could possibly wish for!

Illustration Friday - wool

Yeah I'm being uncreative. It's just what it says on the tin... some wool.

Illustration Friday - storm

I'm cheating a bit here, this is an old picture. I couldn't think of anything else for this subject though...

Illustration Friday - wheel

This is part of an old (very old) Tarot project of mine. When I read this week's Illustration Friday topic, I decided to finish it up.
